Growbaby FAQs

Q1: When will Growbaby open to referrals from Bundles of Joy clients?
A1: Growbaby will be open for referrals, donations and other services for current Bundles of Joy clients from Friday 1 April 2022. Please do not contact Growbaby in relation to referrals or donations before this date.

Q2: What will happen between now and then?
A2: Bundles of Joy will continue to operate a limited service until the charity closes on Friday 11 February 2022.
Unfortunately, this means there will be a short gap before Growbaby is open for referrals, donations and other services for current Bundles of Joy clients, but this time is needed by Growbaby to prepare for expansion by building the team, improving structure and organising donations.

Q3: What is Growbaby?
A3: Growbaby is a service operated by the Hull Vineyard Church, a charitable company registered in England and Wales under Company No. 5039618 & Charity No. 1102782. Growbaby was set up in September 2020 to provide good quality new and pre-loved baby and children’s clothes and equipment, completely free of charge to anyone in the local community who needs it, regardless of their income, background or faith. www.hullvineyard.co.uk/growbaby

Q4: Where is Growbaby based?
A4: Growbaby is based at The Vineyard Centre, Vulcan Street, Hull, HU6 7PS.

Q5: Will Growbaby be offering the same service as Bundles of Joy?
A5: Growbaby have been offering a similar service to Bundles of Joy since they were set up September 2020. They provide good quality, new and pre-loved baby and children’s clothes and equipment, completely free of charge to anyone in the local community who needs it, regardless of their income, background or faith.
At present Growbaby is a smaller operation than Bundles of Joy and although the heart of Growbaby is to serve everyone in the city that needs help, it will take time to grow to fulfil that ambition. Growbaby will take the next two months to prepare for this expansion, taking time to build the team, improve structure and organise donations.

Q6: Bundles of Joy covered the city of Hull and the East Riding? Will Growbaby cover the same area?
A6: Growbaby will continue to serve the city of Hull and surrounding East Riding villages.

Q7: Why are Bundles of Joy recommending Growbaby?
A7: Bundles of Joy and Growbaby have similar values and are very closely aligned in their ethos of supporting those in need in the local community in an impartial and non-judgemental way.
Growbaby already had aspirations to grow their offering in the local community and saw Bundles of Joy closing as an opportunity to accelerate these plans and support more families in need.
