Bundles of Joy are a specialist baby and family charity who collect and distribute baby and family equipment to families in need within Hull, Beverley, and East Yorkshire. The charity was founded in November 2016 by Claire Raper.

The charity has eight trustees.

Meet the Team

Claire Raper

From Beverley, Claire has a passion for helping others and making a difference. Having founded Bundles of Joy in 2016, her energy to serve the local community allows her to express herself for the benefit of others. Claire is a trained Doula and Antenatal Educator, and she has a wealth of experience dealing with children and their families. Her energy and commitment to the Bundles of Joy charity will ensure it reaches as many families as possible.

Clare Johnson

From Hessle, Clare has had four children and understands the pressures involved in providing for them. She considers herself lucky to have a large family to help but understand this is not always the case and is therefore very happy to try and help makes things more comfortable for vulnerable families. Active in the voluntary sector, she is a qualified senior breast feeding peer support worker and also sits on the governing body of the St Mary's college federation, with a keen interest in the pastoral (welfare) side of education.

Ruby Magson

Ruby Magson

Ruby Joined the bundles team in 2017 and has been helping with collections and the charity finances since. Ruby is the finance manager of Qudos Energy and has a passion for numbers, fundraising and rugby. Out of work, Ruby’s interests include playing women’s Rugby League to a very high standard representing Yorkshire on numerous occasions. Ruby is very keen to add her ideas to the Bundles team and help the charity move forward.

Rachael Smith

Rachael Smith

Rachael built and runs the Hull & East Riding Mumbler website to list and share all things to do for families in the area. She also runs a freelance marketing consultancy - The Marketing Lane. Rachael has helped fundraise for Bundles of Joy at her Mumbler family fun days and wanted to do more to help with the charity. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge of other family organisations and people to work with through Mumbler along with marketing advice to help maximise awareness of Bundles of Joy in the local area.

Sam Watson

Sam Watson

Sam is a Mum of 2 and a Manager of Nationwide Building Society. Sam was keen to get involved with Bundles of Joy to help the trustee team develop further with reaching out to those less fortunate in our community. Sams keen to look at the funding side of the charity due to her passion for money. We know Sam will be a great addition to the team.

Glyn Bone

Pam Featherstone

Pam Featherstone - born in Hull, started her own business when she was 17. She founded, developed and sold several businesses over a 30-year span and retired aged 46. "Blessed to have my son, Zander in my life who is also my best friend". 

After 3 years of retirement, Pam started a business to guide business owners to control their business so that their life is fun. Pam coaches consultants, trainers and coaches globally to achieve greater success, a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Pam enjoys supporting local and global charities to develop, grow and have more impact.

Glyn Bone

Angela Brown

Angela has been a volunteer for Bundles of Joy since the charity first set up. Along with her husband of 46 years, Colin, Angela has contributed in many ways to the charity. Angela was very pleased to have been asked to be a trustee and will remain a volunteer too. In her spare time Angela is a very keen knitter and competent sewer, she also makes angel gowns. 

Glyn Bone

Glyn Bone

Glyn Bone has been a volunteer for the charity for nearly a year now and adds to the team very well. She has been married to Stan for nearly 50 years and she always refers to him as her best friend and soul mate. Glyn says when she met me last year and got involved with Bundles as a volunteer she realised what an unbelievable charity it was helping so many vulnerable people. Glyn feels very honoured to have been asked to be a trustee and says she will do all she can to help. Glyn loves to knit and is often restocking the baby bundles with beautiful knitwear.
