Meet the Team
From Beverley, Claire has a passion for helping others and making a difference. Having founded Bundles of Joy in 2016, her energy to serve the local community allows her to express herself for the benefit of others. Claire is a trained Doula and Antenatal Educator, and she has a wealth of experience dealing with children and their families. Her energy and commitment to the Bundles of Joy charity will ensure it reaches as many families as possible.
A mother and grandmother, Petula also brings a wealth of experience to Bundles of Joy. She worked as a state enrolled nurse for over 25 years before running her own children’s day nursery for 12 years. Petula has a strong background in fundraising too and has a passion for children’s services.
From Hessle, Clare has had four children and understands the pressures involved in providing for them. She considers herself lucky to have a large family to help but understand this is not always the case and is therefore very happy to try and help makes things more comfortable for vulnerable families. Active in the voluntary sector, she is a qualified senior breast feeding peer support worker and also sits on the governing body of the St Mary's college federation, with a keen interest in the pastoral (welfare) side of education.
My name is Michelle Binns, and I am the owner and founder of First Hand Training Solutions, providing professional and accredited First Aid and Health & Safety training to businesses, public sector workers, educational establishments, and sporting organisations throughout Yorkshire.
We pride ourselves on delivering flexible, engaging and hands-on training courses – as a result we have long term relationships with the majority of our clients, and we work closely with them to identify and fulfil the ongoing training needs of their staff.
Also Wife to Paul, Mum to James, Toby and Beanie the dog life can be full on with outside activities including first aiding for a rugby team, running a home and keeping fit.
Becoming involved with Bundles of Joy is a privilege. I feel very fortunate being able to work, do the things I do and watch my children grow healthy and fortunate which is why I feel so passionate about the work Claire and the team do, to ensure that everyone has something. I feel very proud to be part of it.
